Steve Anderson Biography
Steve Anderson is a full time DJ/Producer/Label Owner based in Edinburgh, Scotland. With an extensive history in the music industry which dates back to the age of 7, Steve claimed National & World Drumming titles before the age of 14. After performing around the UK in various bands in his teens, Steve fully moved into EDM in 1994 as a club DJ. Steve secured weekly residencies in Scotlands elite venues between 1994 and 2000, before being headhunted by Scotlands Club “Cube” and Glasgow FM Radio Station Beat 106 for DJ and Director Of Music residencies in 2001. From 2001-2004 Steve attracted a large following as a result, and thereafter moved into production. Since 2004 he has toured Europe and the USA, and also promoted/played some of the worlds biggest clubs & events including Eden Ibiza, Tramps Tenerife, Miami WMC, Nature One & more. Steve joined forces with Chris Breame in 2005 to create the hugely popular Trance duo A/B Project. The guys lay claim to some big releases, earning various awards along the way.
Steve owns SAME Recordings and SAME Progressive record labels, which are a base for some fantastic artists including A/B Project, Daniel Kandi, Sunny Lax, BRM, Dave Walker, Steve Anderson, Sequentia and more. Label successes so far include licensing to various compilation albums, and the release of the hugely popular “SAME Radio Show Volume One Mixed By A/B Project” Double CD compilation album in early 2010. Alongside his DJ and production work, Steve also owns and hosts the weekly globally syndicated “SAME Radio Show”, which attracts a mass global audience and is aired on a number of stations around the globe every single day of the week.
A former turntablist with almost unrivalled technical ability, Steve Anderson brings incredible energy and perfection to both his DJ sets and studio production work. This is evident in his recent huge releases such as “Eternal Optimism”, “Misconceptions”, “Neve”, “Before Long”, “Closer”, “Adversity”, “Everything Ends”, “Always More”, “Templation” and “All Too Late”. Steve was the first ever Trance artist to be awarded “One For The Weekend” by National BBC Radio One in the UK, and his work is heavily supported by the world’s elite DJs and radio stations. He is also considered one of the leading vocalists in the Trance & Progressive scene, and is now in great demand in this field also. With a host of fantastic new productions constantly in the pipeline, Steve Anderson is one of the finest Trance DJs, Producers, Remixers and Vocalists working in the dance music industry today.
SAME Radio Show & SAME Sessions
The SAME Radio Show is a weekly globally syndicated show, presented by International Trance DJ/Producer Steve Anderson (A/B Project/High Contrast Recordings/SAME Recordings). Delivered every week to an ever increasing global FM audience, Steve showcases the finest in fresh new music from across the Trance and Progressive scene. Regular features include exclusive first plays of his own productions under A/B Project and Steve Anderson, regular artist showcases, as well as telephone interviews with guest listeners and other high profile artists from within the scene. SAME Sessions is the partner show to The SAME Radio Show, presented monthly by Steve and which airs exclusively on DI.FM Trance Channel each 2nd Tuesday of the month between 5pm and 7pm GMT.
